This part of the portal contains the mirror pages of the IGRAC's Global Groundwater Information System (GGIS) as available at the IGRAC site. A GGIS is an interactive and transparent portal to groundwater-related information and knowledge.
The system is meant for various categories of stakeholders, including both professionals and the general public. The GGIS is simple to use and completely publicly accessible. It leads the user from aggregated, global information (Global Overview) via related information sources (Meta-Information Module) towards a direct information exchange (Collaborative Environment).
The Global overview has a Transboundary View, while the transboundary aquifer related info in the MIM could be found by selecting ‘Transboundary GW Resources Management' as a search topic.
The Global Overview contains a world map of countries and a set of aggregated groundwater-related attributes for each of the countries.
